Dr Ali Lutte-Elliott
My training:
I am an HCPC Registered, Clinical Psychologist. Being a Clinical Psychologist means I have been extensively trained to doctorate level in understanding and treating people across the lifespan with mental health problems, disability and health conditions. I have also undertaken additional post graduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology to support my work with individuals with acquired brain injuries and their families. I regularly attend CPD activities to continue to develop in my practice.
My experience:
I have worked in the NHS, the military, the charitable sector and in now in private practice over many years. I have a special interest in working with people with health conditions and ADHD. Having had my own experience of health-related challenges, whilst no two experiences are the same, it has provided me with additional insight about adjustment, negotiating health systems and overcoming barriers to making changes.
My approach:
I am trained in a number of therapies, and we will select the approach that most suits your difficulties and goals. My preferred models of therapy include:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Compassion Focused Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
You will be at the centre of the therapy; you will be truly seen and heard without judgement, and active in setting the direction of therapy. You will be supported to learn new skills and insights that you can take with you into everyday life - a toolbox you can draw on whenever you need it.
